Wisdom
Walking the path with Christ

"Blessed are those who find wisdom and gain understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her." Proverbs 3:13-15
"The beginning of wisdom is this: Get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding." Proverbs 4:7
"Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength." 1 Corinthians 1:24-25

Reflection
Dear friends,
In a world filled with strife, misinformation, and a lack of restraint, we find ourselves in greater need of wisdom and sound advice than ever before. As followers of the Lord Jesus, it is essential that our spiritual roots dig deep into the rich soil of biblical wisdom. This wisdom encourages us to look beyond superficial appearances, to explore the depths of our human experiences, and to align ourselves with God's timeless principles of justice, mercy, and love.
Who better than us to embrace and nurture the humble virtues of patience, empathy, self-control, and integrity? This is our true calling. To fulfill it, we need to remain close to Christ and to one another, fully engaged in the ongoing journey of learning, reflecting, and applying what we discover to the challenges of life. We can approach these moments with grace and understanding, both in our homes and in our communities.
Today’s Practice
Review and reconsider the following:
Am I nurturing my devotional life in a way that seeks wisdom for my own needs and those around me?
Is my church or fellowship actively seeking wisdom that can be applied to our community? If so, how exactly are we doing this, and in what practical ways?
Consider this: With the vast treasures of wisdom and knowledge concealed in Christ, we are intentionally positioned to embody His thoughts and act as His hands and feet in the places where we are rooted.
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Today, we gather with grateful hearts, acknowledging the remarkable wisdom and strength surrounding us. We seek your guidance as we navigate our lives, striving to embrace kindness and love, sharing these gifts with everyone we encounter.
May we become vessels of your grace, spreading hope and support to the weary. We are deeply thankful for your constant love and the promise that you are always by our side.
We offer this prayer in the name of Him who embodies all wisdom and truth, Jesus Christ. Amen.
